Be careful with those exercise balls!

One thing to cautious of is using dumbbells while lying on the ball. Francisco Garcia of the Sacramento Kings was doing exactly that a couple of weeks ago, and the exercise ball burst, sending him crashing to the floor with a 90 lb dumbbell in each hand. As a result, he ended up with a broken wrist and torn ligaments. Be careful out there!

On all the Jon and Kate Plus 8 Silliness…

You know, I go back and forth on this, and I keep finding different (but equal) blame on both sides. It's become clear to me that Kate's goal from Day 1 was to become a celebrity at any cost, and Jon seems to hate the publicity that fame brought, but has no trouble spending the money. Just a sad, sad state of affairs all the way around...

My one and only post on “balloon” boy (I think)

Absolute insanity that it has come to this in this country. Are we all that starved for attention (apparently) that we will stage a hoax involving our own small children, just for 5 minutes of fleeting fame?

Seems insane to me. But I'm not the one going on to multiple episodes of "Wife Swap", nor do I have an unnatural obsession with science.

On the Apple iPhone vs its Competitors…

It’s funny…it seems time after time there are competitors who are touting “the next iPhone”, or “better than the iPhone”. And yet so far, in my eyes at least, we have yet to see one!

Was the comment from Cook crass? Yes, a bit. But the bottom is line that it is tough to argue against his position when over 7 million iPhones were sold last quarter.

On the usage of the word 'MILF' and its true meaning...

For better or worse, it always seems as if phrases come and go in modern culture. And often times, the phrases used are either non-sensical (Bling), or are phrases used in everyday language that have been twisted into something else entirely (”He’s such a knob!”).
While I see and understand your point about breaking down MILF and examining what it means at a base level, I also think you might be reading a little bit too much into it. Yes, there is that bracket of thinking that truly means it literally. Others simply do mean to use it in complimentary manner. These folks have not likely given a whole lot of thought to its literal meaning after breaking it down.
In the long run, I don’t think it’s much to worry about. Like most generational phrasing, its usage will pass in time, and will likely be replaced with something even more annoying. Such is life. ;)

Welcome to my place!

I comment on a lot of blogs about a lot of different topics.

Here you will find a collection of some of those random thoughts and opinions as I post them throughout the day.

You may not always agree with me, but I do hope that you might find the things I have to say interesting enough to comment on at the very least.

So pull up a comfy chair, grab some chamomile tea or hot chocolate (no coffee around here....sorry) and let's chat!
